I'm a former Army combat medic who deployed to Iraq and came back marked by something I couldn't explain and cannot escape. The supernatural elements in Broken Creed are based on real experiences — the kind that stay with you, that you can't fully rationalize, that don't fit neatly into any worldview.
I served as a HUMINT collector during my time in the Army, gathering intelligence in some of the most volatile regions of Iraq. That background informs every page of Broken Creed — the tactical realism, the procedural authenticity, the sense that the world is more dark and more strange than most people ever realize.
When I'm not writing, I'm working in financial crimes investigation. The job involves pattern recognition, reading people, and following money — all skills that translate surprisingly well to fiction.
